Reserved payment

KBC Credit Card – Apple Pay with credit card

  • When you use your credit card to pay for something, the amount you paid is deducted from the card's credit limit. When drawing up the monthly billing statement, we will debit the amount from your account according to the time you’ve chosen to repay what you owe.
  • The payee can also reserve an amount as a security deposit in situations when the delivery time or final amount to be paid is still not known, such as when settling hotel charges after check-out, car rentals or online orders. The pre-authorised (reserved) amount can remain on your card for 30 days or longer.

  • It can take up to seven days to process your payment. The amount is deducted from the balance available on your account and remains on temporary hold until the payment is processed.
  • The payee can exceptionally also reserve an amount as a security deposit via Mastercard in situations when the delivery time or final amount to be paid is still not known, such as when settling hotel charges after check-out or online orders. Here too, the amount concerned will be deducted from the available balance on your account. The pre-authorised (reserved) amount can remain on your card for 30 days or longer.
