I’ve been working as a Digital Bank-Insurance Expert at KBC since September. I’m a perfectionist and am very ambitious. Client-friendliness always comes first for me.
I have a medical background: I trained as a radiologist and worked previously as a dental assistant. When I saw the vacancy at KBC Live, I thought it might be something that suited me. It was a leap into the unknown, but this is definitely the right place for me.
KBC is a great employer. This is my third position since I came here and I feel totally at home. First and foremost because KBC invests in its staff.

Client first
Our clients can reach us in various ways. We have a strong presence on social media like Twitter and Facebook, with news and information. And we also contact clients via WhatsApp or send them a chat message in KBC Touch. They can just drop into the branch too, obviously. Our channels dovetail with each other perfectly, so that we can always serve the client efficiently.
Digitalisation
We work very hard to help our clients develop their digital skills. When someone approaches us for a loan, for instance, we begin by referring them to KBC Touch or KBC Mobile. If necessary, we walk them through the loan application. And if the client prefers to be served at the branch, that’s OK too. Digital service is obviously our speciality, though!

We have the most frequent contact with our colleagues at the technical help desk. Clients get in touch with them if they have problems with their online applications. But the cause isn’t always technical: there might be a signed document missing, for instance, or some other underlying problem. When that happens, we’re happy to step in. The people at the branches refer clients to KBC Live as well.
