What does this job entail?
At KBC Securities you come in contact with all types of operational and financial risk, including marketing risk, credit risk and liquidity risk. While you’re assured of great variation, your primary focus is financial risk. You immerse yourself in all aspects of risk management and build up an interesting network. Furthermore, you have a front row seat from where you discover what happens in our dealing rooms.
What do we expect from you?
- You perform checks, in line with our group-wide risk frameworks.
- You contribute to ensuring we work with the most suitable set of checks to limit the risks of KBC Securities.
- You deliver a clear, concise explanation of findings from risk controls that senior stakeholders, such as the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors rely on.
- You increase control awareness among your colleagues and members of senior management by proactively expanding relationships and entering into conversations with your colleagues.
- You draft well-thought-out, accurate presentations and reports on findings for your colleagues and members of senior management.
- You participate in ad-hoc projects in which your knowledge of financial risk is an added value.
Your key strengths?
- You have at least four years of experience in risk management, ideally with a focus on financial risks within regulated financial services.
- Your strengths include performing analyses. You manage data in a structured manner, establish connections and recognise patterns.
- You enjoy explaining complex situations to make them more easily comprehensible. You communicate clearly and enthusiastically in Dutch and English.
- You work accurately, systematically and with a focus on solutions. Your answer to time pressure or a changed situation is to set priorities and efficiently organise your work.
- You’re quick to speak to the right person when you need information. Relevant information also comes to you informally thanks to your networking skills.
