What does this job entail?
We’re on a roll. Bolero—KBC’s online investment platform—makes it easy for anyone to invest online by themselves. And there’s a lot of interest in this. In the past few years, we have grown into the largest Belgian online broker. Time for us to rest on our laurels? Au contraire. We’re hungry for further growth.
As Scrum Master, you contribute by supporting the work our teams do. You help them to organise their work, reach goals and grow as a team.
These teams work around three pillars every day:
- Making sure that our clients can easily invest via bolero.be. A user-friendly website is crucial for this, as well as content about the stock market, training and investment events.
- With Bolero Crowdfunding, we bring entrepreneurs into contact with investors for successful crowd-lending campaigns.
- Matti, our digital assistant for investors, helps our clients to assemble and monitor equity portfolios.
Your team members develop new features on the basis of needs and opportunities, striving to continuously improve the user experience. You help them to do that as efficiently as possible, in a pleasant and uplifting work environment.

What do we expect from you?
- You make sure team members learn and apply the principles of agile working (SAFe).
- You help the team find a solution whenever there’s an obstacle on the path forward.
- You stimulate a healthy team dynamic, a continuous workflow, and the drive to carry what’s been learnt through to subsequent projects.
- You work with the product owner and system architect to prepare the backlog. As a result, the priorities in every planning cycle are always clear.
Your key strengths?
- You have experience as a scrum master or as a leader in IT operations.
- You communicate effectively in English and Dutch: clearly, friendly and convincingly.
- You’re open to new ideas and insights. Want to experiment with a new approach or tool? Go for it!
- You’re quick to respond with a pragmatic solution if there’s ever a problem.
- You have the maturity and experience to challenge the current course of business in a respectful manner, with an eye on improving performance.
