What does this job entail?
Transactions take place in the KBC Group dealing rooms all day every day. The team that you’re joining supports the risk management of trading activities and the related reporting. We do this for KBC, CBC and our Central European entities. As the scrum master for our team, you work with business stakeholders and developers, across boundaries and borders. You are a bridging figure who takes on the role of an inspiring coach for your team.
Together, we deliver projects and maintain existing systems to enable us to grow in a healthy manner, with optimal risk management that’s always up to date, reflecting reigning regulations.

- You keep your team on the ball with realistic, achievable planning and scheduling in every phase, always with an eye on the budget. You’re their Single Point of Contact (SPOC).
- You inspire and coach your team members, giving them the change to grow and take greater and greater ownership. The goal is to evolve into a self-organising team with a culture of continuous improvement.
- You work with the Product Owner to manage the backlog. Your focus here is on guarding team dynamics. You facilitate smooth collaborations and help to define priorities within the scope of the project.
- You encourage others to apply the principles of SAFe and agile working. You support them in this, while also setting an example for them to aspire to.
Your key strengths?
- You pair your bachelor’s or master’s degree with experience in a role similar to this.
- You and your colleagues love to work together and continuously learn more. You take the initiative to make this happen.
- Your approach? Pragmatic, results-oriented and proactive.
- You critically weigh up options against each other to come to the right solutions. In doing so, you put your technical knowledge, IT skills and understanding of work context to optimal use.
- You communicate clearly and convincingly in English. You quickly adapt your communication to the person you’re speaking to, whether they’re from business or a risk manager, an analyst or a developer.
What can we offer you?
- You’re assured of an excellent onboarding and a pleasant, collegial work atmosphere.
- Throughout your entire career at KBC, we encourage you to grow as a person and as a professional. You can follow training courses in which you further sharpen your hard and soft skills.
- Our offices are easily accessible by public transport. You’re also welcome to partly work from home.
- Flexible work hours help you to balance your work and your private life.
- We offer you a permanent contract and a competitive salary, supplemented by extralegal benefits. Sounds familiar? Of course. It’s what you read in every job description. At KBC, we make a difference with our extended flex package. It’s too extensive to go into details here. However, we will happily discuss the various benefits—large and small—at your interview.
Can you help us make the difference?
Our team is an international mix of risk managers and IT experts. Because we take a SAFe approach to work, everyone feels supported to grow, adapt to new situations and work smoothly together.
