
What does this job entail?
KBC Asset Management (AM) provides asset management services to customers in Belgium, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Bulgaria. The team you will be part of – Investor Support Belgium – has three core activities:
- Institutional discretionary asset management services (Institutional Sales)
- Private discretionary asset management services (Private Sales)
- Account management (a bridging function between KBC AM and its distributors)
The first point of contact for customers granting a mandate for discretionary asset management is a Customer Relationship Manager from KBC Bank or CBC Banque. They in turn will receive assistance from our Customer Relationship Managers (KBC AM). We use our considerable investment expertise to help our colleagues at KBC Bank with contacting customers, reporting, after-sales services and prospecting. To ensure continuity, two KBC AM Customer Relationship Managers are always assigned to a mandate.
You will be working as a KBC AM Customer Relationship Manager within Private Sales, where a team of 15 experienced experts look after clients from the Private Banking, Wealth and Family Capital Solutions segments. Expect a stable and welcoming working environment in which you receive proactive and expert support from your colleagues.
What do we expect from you?
- You will manage and optimise mandates and portfolios, providing a highly customised service to customers and applying KBC Group's investment strategy.
- You will clearly explain our strategy, solutions and investment products to customers in a macroeconomic context.
- You will be involved in requests for proposals, contract management, administration and first-line monitoring of risks (including AML and compliance), thus ensuring that your customer files meet all internal and regulatory requirements.
- Customers and distributors can contact you for clear, high-quality answers to their questions. You will also work proactively.
- Working closely with our distributors, you will actively engage in prospecting and support them in how they approach discretionary asset management services.
- You will network and represent KBC AM at events such as the Institutional Forum.
- Going forward, you will take on business ownership in internal projects. Depending on your expertise, interests and abilities, there will also be room to take on ad hoc responsibilities.
Your key strengths?

- You have a Master's Degree, an understanding of macroeconomics and demonstrable expertise in investing. You know how to clearly articulate KBC's view of the economy and our investment strategy.
- You can work with Excel at an advanced level. Ideally, you should also have experience with HNWI and Simcorp Dimension.
- Like your colleagues, you enjoy working as a team to achieve common goals: providing top-drawer service and achieving sales targets.
- You are driven, skilled at liaison work and excel at analytical thinking. Networking and representing your team, both in-house and externally, come naturally to you.
- You communicate clearly and persuasively in Dutch, English and French.
