
What does this job entail?
At KBC Asset Management, you’ll find an intellectually stimulating job with an interesting international dimension.
We manage more than one thousand investment funds under UCITS and AIF licences in Belgium, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Bulgaria, and more than two thousand mandates from wealthy and institutional clients. All combined, this represents a total of more than 170 billion euro in assets. The portfolios usually contain multiple asset classes and in some cases, also derivative structures.
As our Junior Fund Accountant, you contribute to the accounting and fiscal reporting of our Belgian funds. The majority of your colleagues work in Brussels – and partly on a location-independent basis – but you also work closely with the operational team in Brno (CZ) that performs all transactions.
What do we expect from you?
- You set up funds (from creation to liquidation).
- You check the accounting, prepare annual reporting and take care of legal and fiscal reporting.
- You work with your team to ascertain how our products could be improved. You take ownership of proposals for improvements.
- You’re in contact with external auditors and regulators concerning accounting, annual reports and tax returns.
- You help your team with the introduction of new products, new processes and a new software platform.

You are responsible for other administration related to the funds (e.g. international notifications and filings with the regulator)

You handle tax administration questions, answering regulatory questions, creation and filing of periodic reports
Your key strengths?

- You have a bachelor’s or a master’s degree, preferably in a financial subject.
- The investment world interests you. You look forward to gaining insights about it in the training program that we have prepared for you.
- You already have relevant experience (with a minimum of 2 years) in a similar function or sector.
- You have excellent critical and analytical skills.
- You enjoy working with numbers and work fluently with Excel.
- You like to collaborate and find satisfaction in achieving goals as a team.
- You find it easy to organise your work based on timing and deadlines.
- You speak and write in Dutch andEnglish fluently.
