What does this job entail?
Technology can do a lot, but not everything. This is especially the case when there’s a limited budget and schedule to be followed. At the same time, there are internal users with high expectations, who rely greatly on the technology of our banking and insurance systems for their work. As our Functional Analyst, you reconcile the needs of end-users with the technical vision of the IT experts from your team.
We have already travelled quite far down the path of digitisation and work with state-of-the-art technologies. In other words, you’ll be stepping onto an interesting playing field in which you and your colleagues contribute to digital innovation.
What do we expect from you?
- You sit down with users to discuss their needs. By listening carefully and asking the right questions, you understand exactly which new functionalities are needed to create added value.
- You perform functional analyses of information systems to fine-tune them with users. You subsequently discuss them with the IT experts from your team to clarify the technical side.
- You set up functional test cases on the basis of your analyses. You run them yourself, always thinking about the importance of a good result.
- You are agile in the way you work, with every development occurring in an iteration: develop, evaluate and make appropriate adjustments. This is always done in consultation with all parties.
- You challenge your business partner when there are limitations in time, scope or budget.
Your key strengths?
- You have a master’s degree and are fascinated by IT. You understand the technical aspects of technology enough to make the connection with business thinking.
- You enjoy communicating and do it smoothly: you word your ideas clearly, with strong structure and full of conviction. You do this in Dutch and English.
- You’re curious and enjoy learning. This is why you’re on the lookout for a work environment in which you’re given the space to develop. It looks like you’ve found it.
- You have the interest and the analytical skills to quickly make our business and IT processes your own.
- You and your colleagues enjoy working as a team and achieving great results by taking initiative.
- You have at least 2 years of relevant work experience as an analyst.
What can we offer you?
- You’re assured of an excellent onboarding and a pleasant, collegial work atmosphere.
- Throughout your entire career at KBC, we encourage you to grow as a person and as a professional. You can follow training courses in which you further sharpen your hard and soft skills.
- Our offices are easily accessible by public transport. You’re also welcome to partly work from home.
- Flexible work hours help you to balance your work and your private life.
- We offer you a permanent contract and a competitive salary, supplemented by extralegal benefits. Sounds familiar? Of course. It’s what you read in every job description. At KBC, we make a difference with our extended flex package. It’s too extensive to go into details here. However, we will happily discuss the various benefits—large and small—at your interview.
Respect and inclusion are core values at KBC.
We believe that the individuality of our employees and the diversity of our teams make it possible to achieve great things. That’s why we recruit new employees based on talent and motivation, regardless of their background or story.
