Our job application and onboarding processes
Not every job is the same, and the same goes for job applicants. That's why we don't have a standard job application process or step-by-step instructions. However, we can tell you which steps are involved between your job application and a possible contract proposal. Welcoming you to Team Blue is more than just shaking your hand as soon as you have signed your contract. Good onboarding is important so you quickly feel at home in your job.
From application to contract proposal
Discussions with the Talent Acquisition Adviser
You will find the name of the Talent Acquisition Adviser in the vacancy. This will be your contact person during the entire application process. You can contact them with all your questions at any time during the process.
Selection screening
We will invite you to a selection screening, during which we will check your skill set and whether there is a match with the job and with KBC.
Salary discussions
We will discuss the salary package that we can offer you based on your qualifications and experience. Naturally, we are happy to answer any questions you may have.
An interview with a manager
In this session, the manager will get to know you better. They will ask questions to find out whether you will fit in the team and be a good match for the role. Of course, you will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the job. Who will I work with? How big is the team? What will my specific tasks be? How will my performance be evaluated? You will receive a clear answer to each question.
From contract to top colleague
Preparations for your first day
We will make clear arrangements with you about when you start and where you are expected on your first day. A manager or a colleague will become your mentor. This is someone who watches your well-being during your familiarisation in the company. You can always turn to your mentor if you have a question or need help.
Your first day at KBC
That's exciting! Your laptop is waiting for you and your colleagues are eager to meet you. They'll give you a warm welcome.
Your mentor will show you around, introduce you to colleagues in your department and elsewhere and will show you how to arrange practical matters, such as: How to book a meeting room. What to do if you're ill. How to take leave? ...
On your first day, your manager will take the time to get you started. Together, you will agree on your tasks and responsibilities, and which training courses you will follow. You'll map out your skills in StiPPLE, our training platform, and you will be offered training courses so that you can develop yourself further and so you remain agile.
Your first six months
Your mentor and your manager will do everything they can to guide through your first six months as best they can. They will make time for you each day or each week to hear from you if everything is going smoothly. And you can always contact them or your direct colleagues if you have any questions or problems. Feel free to take the initiative and take charge of your career.
