On the hunt for a property to rent
There’s only one way to approach the property market and that’s to have a clear list of requirements. Where do you want to live and how much do you want to spend? Are you after a house or an apartment and are you moving alone or with someone else? And perhaps more importantly, how flexible are you when it comes to your list?
The number of residential properties coming onto the market is constantly changing, which can make the renting process quite a challenge at times. Fortunately, KBC is there to support you through the whole process by providing various products and services to help ease the stress. If you want to talk to a KBC expert, you can do so in our branches. If you prefer to do things yourself, you can easily go about it in KBC Mobile with or without the help of Kate.
Renting a property in three steps

See your dream home sooner on Immoscoop
You’ll find not only a wide selection of properties on Immoscoop, but also ‘Immoscoop only’ properties. This gives you more chance than other property hunters to land one of those properties.
You can also save your favourite properties or create a search profile and get notified as soon as a property comes online that meets your requirements. If you use Immoscoop in KBC Mobile, Kate will send you a notification when a property of interest comes online.
If you have to set aside a security deposit, you obviously want it to remain untouched until the end of your tenancy agreement. By putting your security deposit on a blocked savings account, both you and your landlord are unable to access it until then. If there haven’t been any problems, your security deposit will simply be returned. However, if you’ve caused damage to the property, the landlord may use the amount to pay for the repairs.

Arrange your (compulsory) insurance cover
Imagine something happens to your rental property or its contents. When you take out the right insurance, you’re protected against the financial consequences of the damage. Home insurance that covers your liability as a tenant is compulsory in Belgium.
You can also extend your KBC Home Insurance by adding contents, theft and even legal assistance cover. Learn more
