Frequently asked questions about your lease vehicle: tyres and tyre changes

If you have questions about your lease vehicle’s tyres, you can find the answers below.

If your tyres are worn or damaged beyond repair, you should have them replaced at an authorised tyre centre.

Good to know: the legal minimum tread depth is 1.6 mm. If you’re not sure about your tyres, you can have them checked by an authorised tyre centre.

You can drive with winter tyres from 1 October to 30 April. You may only have them fitted if they are included in your lease contract. If you’re not sure about this, contact your fleet manager. Winter tyres should only be fitted at authorised tyre centres.

  • You already have winter tyres:
Make an appointment with the authorised tyre centre where your tyres are stored. If you no longer remember where that is, contact Driver Care.
  • You don't have any winter tyres:
Make an appointment with an authorised tyre centre. They will contact our technical department directly to request approval for the fitting.

This is allowed if:

  • During maintenance or repair work, the tyres are found to be worn
  • The (authorised) garage submits a request in advance via the ROB platform and respects the agreed conditions
